The song I have chosen is called Mr Thomas from a band called Out Of The Blue. I have chose it because I feel the lyrics are really easy to understand and feel it gives a simple story and the song is quite short, so wont be too long and hard to do.
I found plenty of inspiration in other videos of a similar genre such as the wombats and aim to reflect the upbeat nature of the song.

My idea is to create a song that is based only on the narrative.
For the narrative I will have a young male in his teens on a beach doing various things with props including sunglasses, bucket, spade, ice cream as these link in with the lyrics and themes of the song.
It will be home made video style using hand held camera.
The clothes he will be wearing on the way to the beach will be linked with the style of the band and show the conventions of the indie style.
My target audience would be from teenagers till late 20’s mainly males but also the thought of females being attracted to the actor and artists of the band.
It could also target adults reminiscent the past when they used to listen to a similar genre of music when they were younger.
The genre of music is Indie pop which is more melodic, less noisy, and relatively angst-free. Also musically its key characteristics were jangling guitars, a love of sixties pop and often fey, innocent lyrics. The people that would listen to the genre of music would enjoy socialising with friends. They would also read magazines such as NME and wear clothing like chinos, vans and have long hairstyles.
